In this project, Stacy Carsello, Designer at Seigles Cabinet Center in Mundelein helped the clients with a first floor remodel. Key Features: Circular mullions in the bar area were key to the design. There were some tricky soffit and beam issues, but between Dura Supreme’s custom modifications and an excellent trim carpenter, those issues became design features in the ceiling detail.

3D Virtual Kitchens Offered Free to Seigle’s Customers

When you are looking for a new kitchen, you can visit our showrooms to pick out the brand and style of cabinets you like. Then look through our cabinet samples to see, feel, and pick out colors. Even if your selected cabinets are displayed in a showroom, it’s often difficult to visualize what they will look like within your space.

That is why Seigle’s offers 3D kitchen designs for our customers. Once we have the specs of the space, we can create your “virtual” kitchen to help the homeowner visualize what the finished kitchen could look like. We can draw the desired wood, door style, and color. We can even incorporate peripherals that may have an impact on the design, like a homeowner’s table and chairs, lighting ideas, curved walls, or vaulted ceilings. Usually speed and accuracy don’t go hand-in-hand. However, our partners at Gerali Custom Design demonstrate in this video how they use innovative laser technology to measure and build countertops that fit perfectly with your new cabinets, helping to complete your remodel with precision and ease.

Success Stories: Beautiful custom wheel chair accessible cabinets

Traci and Hugo Fernandez wanted their new Batavia home to be both accessible and beautiful. For wheelchair access cabinet manufacturers offer Universal Design cabinetry that has an eight inch toe kick and a height that is 2″ lower than standard cabinets. Traci found that the 8″ toe kick on these cabinets didn’t give her any more accessibility in her wheel chair and decreased the amount of valuable storage space.

So instead, Seigles ordered standard Diamond base cabinets without a toe kick. Those base cabinets were placed on a custom 2-1/2″ platform built by Brad Kath of Thornbrook Construction. The platform was covered with base molding, giving the cabinets the furniture look Traci and Hugo desired. The accessible counter height of 34″ was achieved, and they have the storage space of standard cabinets.

In addition, their kitchen is as beautiful as it is accessible. A second sink to the right of the range allows Traci to fill a pot with water and easily place it on  the cook top. A base pullout pantry cabinet keeps spices and cooking oils in reach. The microwave is placed in a base cabinet, which is convenient for the whole family. A table height breakfast bar on the front side of the island is a great place to help the kids with homework.

In the master bathroom, table style vanities comprised of Diamond Vibe decorative legs and trim pieces are as functional as they are stylish. Aristokraft cabinets in the loft provide a great work space for the kids!

Success Stories: New Kitchen at Barrington Home

We recently finished a complete kitchen remodel at a Barrington Home. The existing family room on the back of the house was remodeled into a new kitchen. One wall was opened up to incorporate the old kitchen and small living room into a spacious great room.

The all new, custom cabinets are Dura Supreme in the Chapel Hill Classic door style. The cabinets are Classic White and the island color is Tea Green.

Other features:

• Soft close doors and drawers
• Inverted sink base in island
• Decorative hood
• Roll trays in base cabinets
• Cutlery and spice dividers in drawers
• Corner lazy susan
• Base pull out pantry
• Waste basket cabinet
• Bun feet

The remodel included oak hardwood flooring, new appliances and all new windows. It also includes a trey ceiling above the island in the great room.

Successful Small Kitchen Remodel, Before and After

The Rosenfeld kitchen remodel was a project we did in Elgin, IL. It was a snug little kitchen, and it needed serious updating.

The owners had a few goals in mind:

• Smarter use of existing space
• More light (Northern exposure)
• Major update in style (those plywood doors had to go)
• New appliances
• A company to take the project from start to finish

The Rosenfeld’s wanted a style that would put a “craftsman” look in the kitchen, and quality that would last them the rest of their lives. Dura Supreme fit the bill. They had this door available in Quarter Sawn Oak, an absolutely beautiful door! Dura Supreme Cabinetry offers this style, a durable finish, and custom sizes at an affordable price, and had many storage options for this layout. They selected Zodiaq for their tops to complement their kitchen because of the color options, durability, and the best warranty in the business.

We provided installation through Seigle’s “Pro-Install” program which gave them peace of mind that the job would be done correctly by skilled tradesmen. To get more light in the kitchen they replaced their window with a larger one. They also added a Solar Tube to get more natural light into the kitchen, along with can lights and under cabinet lights. We added glass and lights to the corner cabinets, which seemed to visually open up the end of the kitchen. We gained space in the corners with the new stove, this meant we could add lazy susan cabinets there and gain storage in both corners. With the microwave over the stove, we now gained more counter space as well.
